On the occasion of centenary birthday of both SUFE and Deloitte China, SUFE School of Public Economics and Administration and Deloitte China jointly held the Centenary Celebration for SUFE and Deloitte SUFE-Deloitte Tax Elite Forum in Sharing Space of Floor 7 in Yingxian Library in Sept. 24.
SUFE Deputy Party Secretary Professor Zhu Mingxiong, Shanghai Association of Registered Tax Agent President Zhuang Xiaojiu, Deloitte China Deputy CEO and Tax and Advisory Line China Managing Partner Ms. Jiang Ying, China International Taxation Research Institute Standing Council Member, Chinese Tax Institute Council Member, and Renmin University of China Professor Zhu Qing, Deloitte China Senior Partner Mr. Lin Sui, Yancheng Local Tax Bureau Collection and Management Department Director Wei Guoqing, former International Paper Asia Tax Director Ms. Liu Jingfang, SPEA Dean Liu Xiaobing, Party Secretary Fang Fang, SUFE Curator Professor Zhu Weiqun, Logistics Department Director Peng Jianbin, the Office Deputy Director Song Dafei presented, while more than 200 people attended the Forum, including professionals from Deloitte China, Deloitte Tax Elite Championship participated alumni and SPEA teachers and students. The Forum was presided by SPEA Deputy Party Secretary Zhou Qiao.
First, SUFE Deputy Party Secretary Professor Zhu Mingxiong gave welcome speech. He pointed out that, the years during 1917 to 2017, are time of mutual striving, sustained developing, and pursuit of excellence for both SUFE and Deloitte. Two parties established win-win mechanism in innovative talent training. He believes that, the development of universities need instruction and encourage from industry, while the development of industry need wisdom support and talent training from universities. And to establish talent training community is an innovative method adapting to the development of times. Shanghai Association of Registered Tax Agent President Zhuang Xiaojiu spoke highly of the achievements of both SUFE and Deloitte China in the past 100 years, and encouraged both parties to sustainable promote their tax work in education, research and innovation, and train professional talents with international vision. Deloitte China Deputy CEO and Tax and Advisory Line China Managing Partner Ms. Jiang Ying, on behalf of Deloitte China, congratulated SUFE on its glory history of Century years, be virtuous and learned, and make contribution to the society, and combined with constant purpose of providing valuable solution and unremitting efforts to promote tax education and talent training, promoted a various of cooperation for universities and industry, and expected the further exchange between SUFE and Deloitte. Deputy Party Secretary Zhu Mingxiong and Ms. Jiang, on behalf of SUFE and Deloitte, exchanged centenary souvenirs.
Then, China International Taxation Research Institute Standing Council Member, Chinese Tax Institute Council Member, and Renmin University of China Professor Zhu Qing and Deloitte China Senior Partner Mr. Lin Sui made speeches on Challenges for China Taxation and Impact of IT and AI on Tax Legalization respectively, interpreting tax reform in the fast changing society and modern technology’s shock on tax area, and promoting solutions. Yancheng Local Tax Bureau Collection and Management Department Director Wei Guoqing and former International Paper Asia Tax Director Ms. Liu Jingfang made speeches on Take punishment seriously --a perspective to understand China’s tax law implementation and Life without doubts in the Centenary years, sharing their experience and meditation in work and life.
Finally, the previous Deloitte Tax Elite Championship Alumni representatives shared their obtains and feelings, providing precious experience to presented students. The Deloitte Tax Elite Championship has attracted more than 3000 students participated since first held in 2004. During the 12 years, 81 SUFE students entered final stage competitions, while SPEA team achieved 4 times of championship, two times of second place, and three times of excellent awards. The team members year after year established our excellent characteristics of unity, brave, and struggle, leaving precious spiritual wealth to other students. Presented guests gave SUFE Centenary Souvenirs to the team members and wished them excellent future.
The successful held of this Forum, fully displayed the excellent achievement of both SUFE and Deloitte in serving modern national administration, exploited the advantage of integration of universities and industry, established wisdom platform for academic discuss, theoretic research, practice sharing and public advice, and laid solid foundation to start a win-win cooperation in the new century.
