Yao Wenxiong, is AREA Chair Professor and Real Estate Center Director in Robinson College of Georgia State University; consulting expert of Equifax, one of the Big Three individual credit bureaus; and deputy chief editor of Real Estate Economics, the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association core Journal. He served in Fannie Mae for nearly 10 years and took Financial asset Director of the main business of housing mortgage loan guarantee and securitization of loans, in charge of the company’s credit model and managed 3,000 billion dollars’ financial asset. During 2008 to 2011, he led and participated American Real Estate market rescue, the Fed Quantitative easing policy implementation in real estate financial area, and real estate intermediary agencies reform including real estate appraiser. He published more than 20 articles and 1 book in American financial and economic core journals including American Economic Review, Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, the top journals in social science area. His articles were used as crucial basis for legislation and market rescue, were honored the first academic achievement issued by American Real Estate Society, were reported by Financial Times and Washington Post. He is one of the most active and influential scholars in real estate finance, home finance, house policy and urban economy areas.
