Aiming at ensuring an open, fair and justice selection of excellent undergraduates with solid knowledge, strong skill, innovation spirit and practice ability, and having integrity, and according to SUFE Management Regulation on Recommending Excellent Undergraduate to Exam-free Graduates, we decide these detailed rules.
Article One
Exam-free candidates should be qualified for below basic requirements.
1.Candidates should have noble patriotism and collectivism, firm belief on socialism, strong sense of social responsibility, obey the law and regulations, be positive and health.
2.Candidates should be work hard and perform excellent, have not record of make-up exams or courses, pass CET6 and honored People’s Scholarship.
3.Candidates should have strong innovation spirit, deep interest in research, have academic potential or professional talent.
4.Candidates should be honest and trustworthy, have correct attitude, no record of academic cheating or plagiarizing other people's academic achievements.
5.Candidates should behave well, and no record of violating the law and regulation or being punished.
6.For those candidates with special competence or outstanding potential, recommended by more than three SPEA Professors and strictly inspected by SUFE exam-free candidates selection working team, could be free from the comprehensive ranking limit, with the explain material and professor recommendation letters being publicized in SUFE.
Article Two
Exam-free candidates’ results should reach below standard.
1.The GPA in first three years should reach 3.6.
2.The CET6 score should reach 425.
Article Three
With a basis of qualification for article one and article two, we rank and recommend the candidates according to their academic performance.
Article Four
Candidates with below condition could receive extra scores.
1.Be honored in national level college students academic contests.
2.Be honored in municipal level contests organized by Shanghai Education Committee, Shanghai Science Technology Committee, and Shanghai Technology and Invention Association.
3.Published academic paper as first author in authorative journals and core journals identified by SUFE academic department.
4.Be honored with school-level scholarship, outstanding student, outstanding student cadre, outstanding youth league cadre, outstanding youth league member, and city-level above social practice.
5.Be honored in school-level contests, excellent paper.
Article Five
With a basis of qualification for article one, candidates who won first prize in China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, National Undergraduate Computer Design Contest, “FLTRP Cup” National English Speaking Contest, Debate Contest, IDEA National Debate Contest, or second prize or above in Chinese Mathematics Competitions, “Challenge Cup” National College Students Business Plan Competition, “Challenge Cup” National College Students Curricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition, and pass comprehensive assessment by SUFE, will receive exam-free qualification direct. The time for honors should no later than August 31.
Article Six
Qualified students should apply to school, with Apply Form and copies of achievements and certifications.
Article Seven
SPEA exam-free candidates selection working team will assess and identify the application and materials in September, decide the candidate list through comprehensive ranking, democratic review and publicity, then submit to SUFE team.
Candidates who are eligible for the basic requirement will be submit to SUFE team in the form of joint recommendation while those who are eligible for article five or special plan like volunteer teachers, will be arranged comprehensive assessment by SUFE.
Article Eight
After the assessment of SUFE team, Academic Department and Graduate School will publicize the final list. After the publicity, the list will be submitted to provincial graduate recruitment department. Candidates who pass the procedure will receive formal exam-free qualification.
